Under the programme, a total of more than Rs 16,800 crores would be immediately transferred into the accounts of more than eight crore farmers.
Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute Rs 2000 to farmers as part of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Programme (PM-KISAN) programme. Under the programme, a total of more than Rs 16,800 crores would be immediately transferred into the accounts of more than eight crore farmers.
In collaboration with the Indian Railways and the Jal Jeevan Mission, the much-anticipated release of the PM-KISAN 13th installment will take place in Belagavi, Karnataka.
Around one lakh participants, including beneficiaries of the Jal Jeevan Mission and PM-KISAN, are expected to attend the ceremony.
The scheme’s eleventh and twelfth installments were distributed in May and October of last year. The government has maintained its commitment to assisting India’s farmers in realising their aspirations for a living with the issuance of the 13th installment.
Farmers all around the nation have already benefited significantly from the PM-KISAN Scheme, and this most recent installment will increase their incomes even more and support the expansion of the agricultural industry.
In 2019, the PM introduced the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Program. Subject to certain exclusions, the programme intends to offer income support to all landowner farmer families in the nation who own cultivable land. In accordance with the Program, Rs 6000 is paid out to recipients in three installments of Rs 2000 each each year.
Under PM KISAN, all landholding farmer families in the nation are eligible, except a few restrictions.
Almost 11 crore farmer households have received approximately 2.25 lakh crores in funding to date, largely the small and marginal farmers. Incidentally, additional installments totaling Rs. 1.75 lakh crore were sent out to help these struggling farmers during the Covid lockout. More than three crore women participants of the initiative have received more than Rs 53,600 crore in funding overall.
